Ten...

Today did not go exactly as planned so far. I will have to update my notes.

1) call CIC in Sydney to ask about needed Citizenship document. Patiently navigate your way through the automated voice system until you are allowed to request an agent. Listen to the phone ring. Listen to the recorded voice say how sorry it is that all agents are busy. Listen to the dial tone. Repeat as often as you have time.

2) call MPs office back as they called but didn't leave message. Be sure to call at the beginning of your prep time (40 minutes) so you will be able to say, "no problem" when they ask you if they can call you back in 10. One minute before you are due back teaching, receive a phone call that tells you the MP's office has had a long conversation with CIC and they have some bad news - it will take 2 to 10 months to process the children's documents so they can enter Canada. Remain calm, teach the lesson, supervise 3 classes eating lunch, then race to the phone to call your adoption agency.

3) be very glad you did not have a breakdown after your wonderful agency assures you all is well and as it should be, and you are on schedule to leave in 10 days.

4) call CHEO back and leave a message
5) expect call back from Insurance Company about coverage for children adopted overseas but to no avail
6) begin serious house-cleaning
7) finish numeration comments on report cards
8) do the Scholastic order
9) get hair done
10) meet C & H and new blog friends at airport!!!!!!
11) be amazed at how beautiful Hannah is in person

Is the Ten title to remind yourself to count to 10 time and time again so that you don't go crazy while you are waiting for all of this to get worked out! lol...

What happens if the citizenship isn't ready? Is there another option? What did your agency say?

Not that you need to answer any of those, because we are all praying it will work out before you leave!

Remember to sleep at some point.

Just know that I'm thinking about you guys every day. Just try to remember to breathe. My husband said I didn't breathe for months before we left for VN.
You WILL get to VN, you WILL get your boys and you WILL all 4 make it home safely!
