We just heard that we can drive out for a visit tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I'll pause for a minute while you scream and jump around excitedly...)
This morning (Monday) we walked to Ben Than market. We had a great time. Some things that surprised me were:
1. How familiar all this seems. For those who don't know us, we live in Ottawa's Chinatown, specifically the Vietnamese area. So everything from the shop signs to the smell feels like home.
2. How much I love the way traffic works here. Red lights, which side of the street to drive on, even staying on the street (as opposed to the sidewalk) - all are suggestions only. Basically you drive your scooter wherever there is a space. Eminently sensible, I say. Why on earth do we wait at red lights when there is nothing coming the other way? And during rush hour, when there is hardly anything coming the other way, why not just move over and drive on that side of the street too? Crossing the street is the best - like a giant video game.
Did I mention the weather yet? Imagine a hot summer day in Ottawa. Now imagine that you have access to a giant pool at the perfect temperature that is mostly empty. So far this is a great vacation!

The cats say hi!! I can't speak for Shadowdog . . .
You received a phone call from 1-234-567-8900 - really. I left it on the caller id!! No message, just lots of high pitched static. Is the house haunted?? If so it might not like us . . . I'll keep you 'posted'!
Someone got mail and his name is Maxem.

Oh My Gosh!! We have been on another planet (the cold and flu planet) for the past three weeks. Did not realize that you left!! Congratulations!! How absolutely beautiful are those babies?!! Please give Loan a hug from us and ask her to tell Ms. Dot (Head nanny) that (the now walking, talking, giggling) Phuong Dung is so excited to have Tra Vinh pals to play with. Hope your G & R comes fast, fast, fast. Can't wait to have you all at playgroup! Congrats again. Dena (and Brian)
